Minco Update on Coronavirus Epidemic – March 10, 2020
Minneapolis, March 10, 2020 – As a result of the coronavirus 2019-nCoV Epidemic, the Chinese government ordered most business operations to remain closed thru mid-February 2020. Since then, manufacturing facilities are coming back on-line at varying speeds (some are up and running at 90% capacity and others coming along more slowly).
Minco is currently working with our Asian suppliers to understand the impact of the coronavirus 2019-nCoV Epidemic on their business. Minco has been advised that suppliers are in the process of resuming operations and procuring the necessary raw materials to restore to 100% production capacity.
Minco also recognizes that it’s not simply the factories, but also trucking companies, functioning ports and Distributors also being fully operational. Based on the information we have received back from our supply chain, we are expecting minimal impact to our supply chain at this point. However, there remains concern that the overall coronavirus 2019-nCoV Epidemic continues which may cause unforeseen future delays.
