Pre-fabricated backing plates for Mica Thermofoil™ heaters are .0625" (1.6mm) thick stainless steel with pre-drilled holes matching the bolt pattern of the specified model. Use backing plates in conjunction with ceramic paper insulation on the side of the heater opposite of the heat sink to apply even clamping force over the entire heater surface to ensure long life and maximum performance. These backing plates do not have cut out areas for the lead bulge and may require modification if that is a requirment.
